Stephanie brings her unique background in the arts and office management to her role as Director of Operations at Starr Whitehouse. Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Stephanie earned her BFA in illustration from Parsons School of Design and spent several years working in antique restoration and decorative painting. Before joining Starr Whitehouse in 2022, she managed the office of Stand and Build, a design and build studio, where she designed concepts for art installations and luxury retail displays, as well as oversaw the workings of the entire company, from project tracking and staffing to job pricing and client relations management. Her expertise lies in fine-tuning minute details always with the big picture in mind. With a deep love for green, urban spaces, she’s also a bookworm, enjoys identifying trees as an amateur, and continues to illustrate for herself and others.

Amanda brings her logistical expertise over from the nonprofit world, where she applied her wide-ranging skill set and her passion for social change to causes she strongly aligned with. Most recently, she was with the ACLU, assisting the Deputy Executive Director for Strategy and Culture and the Chief Strategy Officer. Additionally, she is a published co-author of several neuroscience research papers through her time as a programmer at UCLA’s Brain Research and Artificial Intelligence Nexus, where she worked to advance our understanding of brain health and disease. She spends her free time doing improv comedy, volunteering, and attending neighborhood dinner parties with friends.
