Hanae Uyeda

Hanae’s interests in sustainable land management, the environment and social equity have been long standing. Even before college, Hanae helped schools grow and harvest local foods. Later, she spent a year with City Year New Hampshire, one of AmeriCorps’s education initiatives. In college Hanae explored these interests more deeply through classes like Agroecology and American Environmental History and also through experiences such as farming and teaching at an environmental education center. Hana graduated from Carleton College with a degree in Geology and looks forward to utilizing her understanding of earth science to improve spaces where we live and work.
