Eddie Joe joins Starr Whitehouse after completing a year-long fellowship in Mexico City, where he apprenticed in a furniture design-build studio. Interested in craft, materiality, and the relationship of design to its cultural context, he is drawn to landscape architecture and its ability to synthesize these topics while addressing pressing social, ecological, and infrastructural issues. Prior to his work in Mexico, Eddie Joe graduated with honors from Yale University’s undergraduate architecture major, where he played trumpet and founded the university’s first salsa band. As a native Brooklynite, he is excited to join a team making a positive green impact in his city and beyond.
