Urban Planner

Urban Planner Annabel Finkel brings extensive experience in stakeholder coordination, community engagement, and project management. She currently serves as the Starr Whitehouse project manager on two projects for NYC DOT: the North Brooklyn Plazas initiative and Citywide Greenways Expansion plan, coordinating streetscape and urban design drawings with a multidisciplinary team led by TYLin. Leading engagement as Starr Whitehouse’s Project Manager for the Climate Strong Communities program of the Mayor’s Office of Climate and Environmental Justice, Annabel manages partnerships with over 65 community organizations across 10 neighborhoods and develops engagement materials for stakeholder interviews, neighborhood walks, and public workshops. As Project Manager for Starr Whitehouse on the NYC DEP Bureau of Environmental Planning and Analysis’ Watershed and Stormwater Resiliency Program, she is overseeing the development of signage, community engagement planning, and resilient street design on multiple projects in coordination with the City’s consultant team. She previously developed engagement materials for NYC DOT and OMB’s East Village / Lower East Side Waterfront Access Study. Annabel received her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from The Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts at The New School in 2019.
